Our new dyneema jib halyards are more forgiving for novice crew. If a crew does not keep the halyard tight while raising the jib, these halyards won’t bind. They also won’t kink or burr. They are approved for class racing. While they may stretch some, especially at first, stretch is minimal. Wire halyards are of course still an option (see link below.) Dyneema is simply a more user friendly option.

They are also nice for roller furling, so that you can put extra tension on the halyard without causing it to bind.

Finally, they are an excellent option for camps and sailing schools.
