The Flying Scot is one of the best racing classes in the world. The boat's simplicity allows most people to learn to sail and then race in the class. However, some of the best sailors in the world are also drawn to the class, because of the classes strict one design rules. Flying Scot racing makes for a truly fair competition because all of the boats are measured with strict restrictions on changes. Old used boats can be over weight, but are still competitive. The Flying Scot Sailing Association is the governing body of Flying Scot racing and you will find over 100 fleets around the nation. Most fleets meet for weekly racing. It's a ton of fun, no matter your skill level!
